The state and church should work together in common goals,those that affect all citizens of the state weither you are a member of the church or not. Other churches should and probably do become involved as well.I cant for the life of me understand why people feel religon needs to devide people on all issues.The LDS church encourages its members to strenthen their communities by involvement in projects and programs.Good government provides personal freedoms and that is what the church is about.President Monson embraces the entire world population, not just the members of the church.

did they go to the archbishop of utah
or any other church.... the implication is that all things require the blessing of the lds church to go forward. i agree that this is not necessarily bad, but the what if the church had opposed, would byu still be the only church university in utah county,,, or was there concern the church would see uvu as competition

as in the visit a year ago to the headquarters about the change in status... is this not a state institution?
