Ann is one of the kindest, smartest, most sensible people in the universe. She won't admit that, though, because she's also one of the most humble.

This is a nice story. Ann is a treasure. I look forward to Monday morning to read her columns. I had no idea that she is such a prominent novelist as well. I'm surprised I've never seen the DN highlight her books - I would think that the paper would want everyone to know her books and her prominence. When will get to read a review of her new book?

I have always loved AE Cannon's writing. What surprises me the most about her work is that she is so versatile--she writes well for every age. A hard thing to do. And check out that pic--she's beautiful to boot!

I'm so impressed with Ann, for a lot of reasons, but mostly because she has the courage to write a weekly column (I'd have shot my whole wad in one week, I think), and she wakes up every day and works on her novels. She's so disciplined (I can hear you saying, "Me?" right now, Ann) and brave, but most of all she's a natural storyteller. And what a narrative voice. Reading Ann's novels reminds me of sitting on the floor in my grandmother's living room, listening to my great aunts and uncles and my grandparents tell stories about their growing up days. She's a real talent. Love the photo . . . and your dog.

I find it coincidentally odd that someone only 29 can be so beloved and accomplished. I could have sworn she was as old as I am until I saw the picture. I read you in Ohio, Ann; I'll read you in Florida. Anyone who even likes your newpaper column would love your novels, at any age. (My favorite story from years ago was Jello in Mormon Utah!) Editors: give us a list so we can find the books in the libraries and in the bookstores.
