My son is also on this trip. He called to tell me it had happened and was so upset. He's known Chris since first grade.

Our sympathy to the family--we also have lost a child. Please, don't let the "if only" this or that get to you. You gave your son wonderful opportunities and accidents happen anywhere.

I am so sorry to hear about this tragic accident and the family's loss. Words cannot express my sorrow and sympathy. I recently went through my own loss and I am still struggling with it. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I sat next to Chris in English class, 8th grade, for basically the entire year. We were always laughing and joking around. Unfortunately it's things like that that are forgotten or pushed aside until a tragedy has to take a life. I hope we can all start to appreciate and constantly remember even the littlest moments we share with others. I know I certainly will. I'll miss you Chris.

Vienna is on a plain, far from the mountains. Heiligenblut is some 300 miles from Vienna.

Chris was my friend. He was always kind, considerate and funny. He was so full of life and had many plans for the future. A tragedy like this really makes you realize what is important in life and to not take it for granted. My prayers are with his family.

Life always has twists and turns. This is a tragic turn and it doesn't make sense when you are a bright, loving, smart young man. We will be praying for your family to grow together and live your lives as Chris would have wanted you to. You will find strength that you didn't know you had. You will feel the love of people you know and others you didn't know. You will feel angels helping you. May God be with you are this tender time and for years to come.

You have to know that Chris is in the arms of loved ones whom crossed over. This I personally know to be true. He surely will be needing you to have faith that he IS in a good place, and remeber him with all your heart mind and soul,It hard for him to comfort you, it will be easier on him to know you have faith he's in good hands, missed and loved beyond word could say, your aches so bad it feels like its dieing inside, this is my experience also. He has made a wonderful, warm, happy, funny, careing, sensitive inpression of blueprints which identify's how special Chris was to so many of us, not just was he in this mortal life, Oh no, he's just as precouse on the other side to those whom have crossed over before Chris and are enbrassing him with love. Fill your hearts with the peace, light a candle of eternal flame and vow you will see him again when its your turn to cross over, and tell him you will give him the longest hug known to mankind. May peace be with you all.....

My 15 year old son was on a People-to-People Ambassador trip when this tragedy occurred. He called home to tell me what had happened and I was stunned and full of sorrow for Chris' family and friends. I have prayed for comfort, strength, and peace for you all since that phone call. My heart goes out to you. Be strong. You will make it through. Life experience has taught me that God can and will do eternal good through tragedies that we face. I'm certain that Chris' death is not in vain and that God will bring eternal good from this most unfortunate trial as well.
In Christ Love,
jeannie
