Where does this end? Something in the system is gonna snap. I was talking to a utilities guy and he said lots more people are getting shut off. One solution is to cut government jobs and cut taxes to take the burden off the people.
Natural gas cars | 5:49 a.m. July 1, 2008
Many of my friends and colleagues have been chatting about the merits of converting their cars to natural gas -- but this news suggests that paying thousands of dollars to switch may be a very short-lived benefit. As natural gas prices soar with their oil counterparts, people should consider buying plug-in cars in 2010, given that electricity has significantly diverse sources, and therefore will have better price stability, whereas relying on "one fuel" cars (whether gasoline or natural gas) can be risky! Increased demand on electricity is bound to boost further development of renewable energy sources that in turn will make wind, solar, and geothermal viable substitutes for oil!

Questar requested $190 million in 2 phases. The commission gave them $195 MILLION in ONE phase. Who is watching out for the consumer here???

that would be $190 each phase or $380 total. That's what they were asking for...

They have been rapidly building pipelines into California and other parts of the country for the purpose of producing electricity. Instead we should rely on nuclear power and other sources of electricity rather than natural gas, which is penny wise but pound foolish. Eventually we will be heating our homes with electricity instead of natural gas, because natural gas can replace oil in many uses such as plastics, fertilizer and other uses. If you think oil is a cost problem natural gas high prices won't be far behind.
