A predator is a predator no matter how "honest" he was in the past.

Mascaro's behavior concerning the intern, if accurate, is reprehensible and he should called on it. Why would anyone give him a pass on abusing his position and using it as leverage against a person 1/3 his age?

I too, have known Steve Mascaro and found him to be one of the better Representatives for those living in his district. I do not. In time this story will play itself out and I hope that Greg Curtis is proud of himself along with the rest of the Republican Leadership that want all to follow behind "lock-step."

I read the Tribune and DesNews - online. I'm appalled by many of the uneducated "posts" on the Trib. and many that have crossed the line of decency and objectivity.

Anyone who knows anything about sexual abuse knows that the #1 defense of sexual predators is to first blame the victim. I can't believe womens groups are not outraged by his assault on a young girl.

Utahs one party rule has led to corruption to the core and people will still vote for these self serviing politicians at the expense of the utah tax payer - what will it take for Utahns to say no more then again they will listen to their leaders and follow like thoughtless zombies

There's no evidence to support the claim. This girl was in his office and wasn't his intern and she went there AFTER SHE CLAIMED he had made a COMMENT about the SEXUAL PROWESS of older men.

Then according to her he started to make advances but forunately her cell phone rang at the right time so she could make her escape. This stretches the line of credibility.

His version is credible while hers isn't because his explains what she was doing in his office but her versone doesn't explain why she went into a legislator's office, after hours, when the Capitol was almost vacant especially since he wasn't her assignment.

Also, Mascaro went home after the incident and told his wife since he was uncomfortable with what had happened. BUT YOU ARE QUICK TO CONDEMN MASCARO EVEN THOUGH IT APPEARS HE WAS THE VICTIM.

I guess he's guilty until proven innocent. Your right to vote doesn't give you right to insult the Mascaro's.

Women don't ever accuse men falsely, Just ask the guys on the lacross team.

Steve Mascaro is a gutsy legislator. I admire that he stands for his principles.

We will never know the truth of the intern's allegations. We do know that Rep. Mascaro is a voice of reason in a legislature where you do not see that very often. Mascaro is the true Republican.
