It Would be a mistake to call These kids Pioneers! While its great they are playing and begining to compete they have a great long way to go to compare with the twin peaks which played in the 90's. In 96 the twin peaks club fielded 2 teams one which finished top 5 in the nation and a second which finished in the top 25. The top 5 team sent five players to play at top programs in the nation (1 to hawaii, 2 to BYU, 1 to peperdine, and 1 to pacific). Up until the infamous Scoring change the sport in utah had been growing, some support was beginning to come from the schools, we had a thriving high school Club Program which fielded teams from nearly every high school in both the salt lake and utah valleys. Reality is that Title IX problems and lack of support from The UHSAA will never allow it to thrive much beyond what was When I played and perhaps even the sparse participation which we have now.
