Beautiful piece. I have often said, don't trust anyone that doesn't like baseball. The beauty and symetry of the game is unmatched. It does not contain committee meetings and violence like football. It is a pastoral game that shows the heart of America.

Baseball is the greatest game ever created. It's dimensions adequately measured. It is the grand old game - and the DNews is right to reference its place in the fabric of American history. The game is healthy - let the games continue.

If God were a baseball fan, then why were there two leagues based on the color of your skin? Or did He take a break during that period. I agree that baseball has withstood all the bad that has happened over the last hundred years or so, and I think the game has improved with all the loser steroid players leaving. Now we just need a billionaire to bring the Big Show here. I'm not talking about you Graham and Monson.
