Bush stated that our economy is sound. Blame the liberal press for pointing out flaws in the banking system. The democrats have held power in congress by a slim margin so, blame them to. Let not leave out blaming Clinton.
A different view point. | 1:46 a.m. July 16, 2008
I find it interesting that the "Neo Cons" who generally are complaining about government regulation are silent on the issue of the forced bail outs in the financial services industry.

Come on folks let's hear some talk about getting the government off our backs and let business do their business.

The silence is deafing.

Conservatives will tell you you can't support our troops and not support the war while they claim to support our troops and the war but won't pay for it.

Their new gig is blaming an oil shortage for a failed dollar. The dollar is worth half as must in Clinton dollars gas would be $2.20.

Conservatives claim the devalued dollar creates job here the day GW tells us they are closing plants and laying off workers.

I really wish conservatives would worry more about the survival of the American middle class than saving face or gay marriage.

The failure of IndyMac was due to one individual: Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer. An idiot who causes a run on a bank during a financial crisis should be expelled from the Senate. Chuck's inexcusable actions caused a run on more than just IndyMac and is putting stress on our entire banking system at the time we need it most.

Expel Senator Schumer!

In the past whaen the government has taken over a bank they have paid off all depositors for the full amount of their deposits, even though they only have to cover up to $100,000 by law. The only exception to this rule was a small African-American owned bank. You can read into that whatever you would like.
what stupid people! | 9:59 a.m. July 16, 2008
The stupid conservatives believe everything Limbaugh tells them each and everyday for 3 straight hours per day.
As their minds continue to turn more and more into mush they will try to tell you nothing at all is wrong with the economy (just ask Limbaugh about his new salary) and all of this is just more unnecessary problems created by those liberals.
It's Carter's fault | 2:53 p.m. July 16, 2008
I tell kids if they don't study, do well in school and get a degree; they will end up being ditto heads whining about educated intellectual elitist.

Rush makes millions and he never talks about being blessed. He cries about the unfairness of taxes.

You make wages that have less values than ten years ago and you worry about life not being fair to the wealthy. Don't ask who gets the lion's share of government benefits, the rich or the poor. At the end of the cycle who banks the money from food stamps? Compare this to the LDS welfare system. which get more food for the money spent?

It's Schumers fault for stating facts that are a result of events that happened on Bush's watch and the ideology is less regulation as profess by conservatives who told us they believe in a balanced budget.

I can't never recall a conservative admitting they were wrong. It's always someone else to blame. This is a lot like growing up in Utah. It's always the kid next door and not your kid.

Conservatives are the most immature people in the United States.
And they actually seem proud of this fact.

I like reading Joel Stien. Once you could watch William Buckley on Public Television and Bill had a rich vocaburary.

I think the "intellectual elitist" argument has been a stup magnet.

This is shocking to me. My LDS family despected education. My uncle ran a department at BYU. So, many Utahans decry educated people as elitist to marginalized anything that contradicts them.

I had a great conservative friend going to college in California. He bought out many good points. I miss talking with him.

My best friend, an engineer is conservative. He prides himself on being educated.

Wow, this is all Rush's fault; interesting take.

to 2:53 pm, yes it is Schumer's fault for shouting "fire" in the theater. I know it's hard for liberals to actually see facts and truth. BTW, I've never heard a liberal take responsibility for anything. Care to share an example?

to 9:59 am...you are a broken record and contribute nothing to the discussion. If you hate Rush so much, please stop listening to him. It's obviously not doing you much good. Go back to Air America, Huffington Post and Keith Olbermann. You parrot what they say so well.

to 1:46 am...I've spoken out on it clearly and loudly; no bailout. People need to learn from their mistakes; businesses included. Maybe you should call Pelosi and Reid and ask them why they passed the legislation to bail them out? Ummm, liberal legislation...just the facts baby.

CTYankee - You nailed it but it won't matter here. Liberals don't like truth and facts. They abhor them and run to their name-calling caves when someone tells the truth.

Yes, it is deafening from the liberals...just name call away...

Charhles what fact do you speak of?

Rush told you to vote for Bush. This is an example of a person that makes poor choices in his life. I don't take finanical advice from someone in bankrupcy. This is called your track record. See money trickling down yet? You ignore facts.

You coments are a liteny of victimization and emotions. Chill out. Take you thorazine.

Bush diected the fed to bail out bilionaies. As for Reid, a great Mormon, his between a rock and a hard place.

Liberal, like me or an Rush lacky, we all loose if our economy tanks. Shummer stated fact. Americans need to know there is a serrious problem so, we can act.

I hate bailing anyone out, all most as much as, I hate debt. Being a liberal and veteran, I know painfull sacrifice must be made sometimes. Life isn't fair. You can cry about taxes or feel blessed you earn so much.

Rush isn't worth the sweat on my ***. My god have mercy on his soul. We all make choices and if you like being his chump, this is America.

I don't think you want facts. You want to be told you're smart.

to 6:48pm

maybe you need to lay off the liquor or learn how to type better. You sound like you are drunk...which we all know drunks don't make sense..
Anonymous | 8:08 p.m. July 16, 2008
Chuck you have got you hate down. When a conservative marginalizes you, it's because emotionalism of delusional victimization leaves him defenseless and unable to respond to facts.

Conservatives are cowards. Return to your rock.
