What a great idea and cause. I hope Jeep, or one of the others is chosen by the Obama family, regardless of the outcome of the election. They should also know that purebred dogs often have more problems than a mix - better genetic mixing, good pets, fewer behavior problems. It also bypasses puppy mills.

I love many breeds of dogs but this would be a true sign of leadership to see the girls loving a rescued pet.

In a way I hope the two sweeties in this article don't get a chance to go to Obama's family becuase they get snapped up so fast in the Beehive state. I think this is a TERRIFIC way to bring attention to the plight of our homeless animal friends!!!!!!!

let's not count our chickens before they are hatched. Obama ain't gonna win. he's too leftist liberal despite his recent turnabouts. he is becoming a walking contradiction. he has no vision other than change...change for what. we all know we want out of Iraq. so does Bush. no difference there. if we want change we need to change back to good clean morality, marriage between a man and a woman, and open all markets to economic freedom including healthcare with less government controlling prices through medicare, taking healthcare and energy off the futures markets, etc.

It's often possible to find purebred dogs at a shelter, so please don't buy from pet stores!!
