Mark B.--Amen.
It amazes me that he thinks people will be stupid enough to fall for this...but, we have in the past, haven't we.

McCain would love it if they did | 12:19 p.m. July 18, 2008
That would give his campaign a heck of a boost -- list like his surrogate said a while ago.

what, may I ask, does some stupid comments made by one of McCain's advisers "Earlier this year..." have to do with McCain addressing a group of General Motor employees today about al-Qaeda making a stepped up amount of terrorist attacks around election time? Talk about biased reporting. Its simply a bit more obvious than most. It is no wonder so many people are getting increasingly cynical with the "liberal" media. What a shame.

the Republicans are getting desperate. You need to do better than that McCain.

1. McCain knows what the bad guys are planning.
2. Bad guys want a Democrat to win the election.
3. It's not too soon to be scared all over again, which is the tactic used by the GOP in every election since 9/11.
Of course, if the neocons had known what al-Qaeda was planning, they wouldn't still exist, would they? Ditto the Taliban. So when McCain makes a statement like that, he should add a disclosure: "This statement is not based on information from the CIA, which, in any case, has frequently been wrong. It is purely an effort to obtain your vote."
