I think most women already know the gravity of the decision they're making. It doesn't strike me as a conclusion one comes to flippantly or without some soul searching. This is almost invariably an issue driven on one side by religion, and there are a lot of charlatans who willingly call themselves prophets pushing it along. Let's not force physicians onto that wagon.

I'm all for upholding exceptions of rape, mother's health, incest, etc., but if a woman thinks a baby is going to interfere with her life, she should think about that before putting herself in a position in which she might get pregnant. I think abortion is pretty major "interference" in the life of the child she kills, as well.

Recently my daughter (married) announced to us that she's pregnant. At her clinic the day she found out, was a young girl seeking an abortion. It baffles me how one baby who would otherwise be healthy, should be permitted to live by one set of parents, while another baby would be condemned to die by his/her parents or parent.
