I think the parents need to come a support their kids in sports, and let the coach do his job. the coaches will play the kids that work hard, that want to be their and listens to the coaches.parents stay out of it in the future.let the coaches coach.that has been the problem all along with every sport at carbon high. Also i cant remember ever hearing the school fight song being sung by the the players after a game, I thought that was a good idea.thanks tim for doing a good job with are kids.

I would like to Know the true issue.
The paper appears to Sides with the Coach but why would the pricipal fire the coach without just cause? The football Program at Carbon Has not me good for along time and it is and will continue to be an uphill Battle to get it to improve I am not sure of the numbers But in the Past five to seven years if not more there have been 4 different coaches. I think that the Kids need someone stability and changing coaches every year or every other year
just isn't going to help the program improve.

If Carbon wants to get better they can't fire a coach for trying to get the community involved in improving the team.

I am not sure thats the reason he was fired?
until we hear from. The school board whe won't know the real reason.

I don't think we will ever hear the reason - if a reason is furnished, the district and the school must prove that reason. If they fire "without cause" no reason needs to be given, especially to a 1st year football coach.

The school board and school administration will give the bogus reason that they have "Prepared" after the fact. I feel that if the administration had taken the proper measures in appointing a new football coach then the uproar in the communitee would have never taken place. If they wanted a new coach for what ever reason, that's is their choice and most people would have supported their decision. They should have waited until the 2008 season had finished. But, to cut the program off at the knees 2 1/2 weeks before the season begins is scandelous. You have done nothing more than left a bad taste in everyones mouth and created a heavy hearted atmoshpere for these children to enter their school year. Congratulations Carbon High Adminisration....You will have a new football coach, but you have lost the respect of the students, parents and community. But...it's obvious they do not care!!!

The Dinos don't need Tiller. The Dinos need someone who has morals and ethics and knows how to get along with players, parents, staff members and the community...Tiller had none of these! I am sad for the players who will now have to start the season with a new coach however, MOST of those players didn't want to be playing for Tiller anyhow. There are plenty of good people who can step in and do the job.
And for those of you who don't live in Carbon County, don't be so harsh on the Administration for keeping their mouths shut. No one wants to air Timmy's dirty laundry for him. Let him speak up and tell the truth he KNOWS why he was let go.

Very good "Go Dinos", and from what I hear, that new coach will be something the students can be proud of, and can look up to. A positive role model, and hopefully someone who can lead them for quite a few years. Let's all hope this is the last time we go through this. I am also proud of the Administration. Sometimes silence is golden!~

Thanks (anonymous) for the support to the CHS Adminstration but I have to add one more thing. The adminstration knew there were problems in October of last year. According to Mr. Stansfield he had a thick file of complaints against Tiller (in October). They really should have let him go at the end of last season and let those people who knew the boys and already had a good relationship with them step in and build the program. Stansfield's indicated that he was giving him rope to watch him hang himself, what I want to know was why did they have to give him THAT much rope? Now the whole commuity is in an uproar and the boys are caught in the middle. The situation is sad could have been revented. But I know I will be there every Friday night to cheer the Dinos especially now that Tiller is gone.

Nope Parent.....I do my job correctly, that's why I still have it.
Go Dinos | 2:12 p.m. July 23, 2008
Parent,
Anonymous is dead on! Silence is golden, Tiller's actions speak for themselves, it is not the Adminstration's duty to tell the world about his lack of morals and ethics. It is their duty to make sure we have a good coach. It is our duty to support the team! I am with you that they should have done it much sooner but they couldn't very well continue to keep Tiller on for another season.
Sister of the coach! | 10:03 p.m. July 23, 2008
I sit here reading your hateful comments about a man who tried to do something good! You all talk about morals? Yet you can easily bash Tim with your secret names come out and tell us who you are?? Is the the display of having outstanding morals and ethics?
The man you all speak about I don't know The Tim Tiller I know is Kind loving and puts everyone before him. I have seen him cry with his players and rejoice with them. I also remember when this community wanted nothing more than to have him at carbon now look at you all placing the knives full force into his back! If you hate my brother then hate him but quit bashing him. Get a life, and if you have to bash atleast be proud enough to put your name on it so we can all give you credit.

You throw stones at a man who spent a lot of time trying to help a program. As a fellow coach giving a man one year is truely unfair. Reading what you people have wrote is another reason I do not agree with these blogs. You can rip a man down and stay anonamous. Grow some and step up...

Isn't it funny how people who are so against hiding names and anonymous posts don't even put their names on their own posts?
what about the boys?? | 1:40 p.m. July 30, 2008
when the principal fired the coach did he take into account the boys? No coach - no season. There is no way you can form some sort of a coaching staff this late. If you are going to fire a coach then last winter would have been the time to do it so that the players were covered for the upcoming season. Also, you leave a message on a guys cell phone telling him he is fire?? Say what? Sounds to me like the principal needs some instruction in administration and management.
district needs to step in | 1:50 p.m. July 30, 2008
Sounds to me like the school district needs to step in and review this. This firing sounds really strange and out of order. I think the Utah High School Athletic association needs to take a look this too. The fact the coach received a voice mail on his cell informing him of his firing is totally out of line. Also, you can't dump a coach this late without killing the season for the boys who have worked so hard to prepare all spring and summer. If there actually are valid reasons for dismissal then let it happen AFTER the 2008 season.
