News for yah. The USAF is not two men at the top. It is the up and down the line men and women who want it to work, etc. The nuclear bomb issue is a classic case of people asleep at the switch. Got a little complacent. Very troubling really.

You need a General LeMay to shake things up and get the troops back in line, focused, motivated, etc.

Need to fire all the leadership in those SQs and organizations with the problems. Firing just the two men is just a cover-up for a systemic problem. Get to the bottom of the problem, get rid of all the useless commanders, supervisors, chiefs and managers whose only purpose is to propell their careers by rubbing their noses with the right people to get promote and get better jobs; but not really doing their actual jobs they were hired to do.

You are right. To: sob --- you have no clue about transporting, storing, using, or guarding nucs. It takes a team, timing, paperwork, armed guards, etc. etc. etc. To be able to remove, load, and fly nuc's without so much as a "by your leave, sir" is down right scary. We couldn't even move them from their storage areas unless we have many guards present, crosschecked paperwork, munitions control monitoring back at some base, etc. Give me someone at the top who actually knows what is going on, and how it is not going right!!

Nuc's are not funny. In today's world we must have strict control and discipline when it comes to those weapons. I would want a LeMay over the clowns operating the place today.

ps... LeMay and the bomb them back to the iron age, etc. was with conventional bombs. NO NUCS!!!

In my 22 years working for both the army and air force; you don't make it to general by being honest.

Every nuc has to be counted, and accounted for. No excuses.

It is scary, isn't it.
