As a long-ago competitor and one who enjoys following track and field, I've wondered where this woman came from and what her story was ever since she burst on the scene as national champion in the steeple, since it was bound to be inspirational. What a great story of overcoming self-doubt and excelling in a tough, tough sport. (Maybe it's the pregnancy hormones but I was even a little teary-eyed by the end of the article.) Great job getting this far, Lindsey, and we'll be cheering for you in August!

I got a little emotional when reading this article. It's neat to hear her story and focus to push through tough times and come out on top. I will be following her the whole way through. Good Luck!

As a Weber State alum, I read about your accomplishemnts with so much pride. Good luck, no matter what happens, we are all proud of you!

A great article on an even nicer young woman! I am glad to see that she never gave up on her dreams. As an ex-coach of track and field she wasn't on the "radar" of the bigger schools but got hooked up with a great distance coach in Paul Pilkington and the rest...is just great stuff. Interesting side note: both Paul and Eddie Eyestone will have athletes they have coached in the Olympics. Way to give back guys! That is what it is all about.
