War and Peace? Energy supplies? These are the weighty subjects we were concerned with before hurricane bristol? No, we weren't. We were concerned of who sang what at the godless communist olympics. And the family values crowd just recently seemed to get past the travesty of the teen pregnancy of britney spears' sister. The electorate is many things. But don't give it credit for attention to real 'issues'.

"Uh, No" is absolutely right. The democrats took back congress and the senate because people were appalled at the way that the republicans handled the Jamie Lynn Spears crisis. Congress's ridiculously low approval rating is because they refused to investigate the Olympics singer debacle.

I like the idea of the rerun of a Beverly Hillbillies episode of the: White House Weddin! John McCain if President is just about the right age to play Jed Clampett. The groom would play Jethro and wear a shirt with his facebook posting: "I don't want kids." Yea Doggies! It sure sounds like fun.
