She just isn't qualified. | 6:50 a.m. Sept. 5, 2008
I (with a BA and a JD cum laude, and experience as an office manager) am more qualified than she is, and I know I don't come near the necessary qualifications for Vice President. McCain proved his lack of judgment in naming her, and she proved her lack of judgment in accepting.

No thanks, McCain and Palin. The country deserves better.
Ooooh. | 8:25 a.m. Sept. 5, 2008
Wow. BA/JD-cum-laude is one of those really smart people who is really impressed with himself/herself. I'm always impressed with lawyers! I'll bet you know Ms. Palin personally. You probably know Mr. Obama personally, too. But does it matter since you are cum laude? Wow, again!

The only person with less experience than Palin in this presidential race is Obama.

I read a story last night that Palin isn't going to be allowed to talk to the press. They want to keep her in a scripted environment. Why is that?

Palin attended 5 different schools before she graduated, some were 2 year colleges. I wonder why....

As Governor of Alaska, Palin procured more earmarks, per capita, than any other governor. Now she is opposed to earmarks. She vigorously endorsed the "bridge to nowhere" until it became politically indefensible. She now says she opposed it all along. This is kind of like George Bush Sr. switching from pro-choice to anti-choice on the night he was selected as vice-president by Ronald Reagan.

Amen, amen. The proclamations of self annointed itellectuals is tiresome at best. It amazes me how many people refer to Obama, Palin and others as though they were personally aquainted but are not.
Cum laude only means you can read and check the right boxes, which I am confident "just isn't qualified" will be doing next to Biden's name in November. So be it, but spare us the better than thou proclamations.

Sam: What's your point?

Kate's point is well taken. I'll be more worried about Palin when she demonstrates that SHE is a dangerous opponent and a potential president.

Anyone can get up and read the best snark Republican money can buy off the teleprompter (although she seemed quite capable of that).

A new poll out from ABC News shows that Americans haven't yet fully bought in to the arguments about Sarah Palin's experience that Republicans have been making this week.

Pollsters found that a majority of respondents think Democratic vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden has the experience necessary to be an effective president; 66 percent said he does, while 21 percent said he doesn't and 13 percent had no opinion. Only 42 percent said Palin has the requisite experience, while 50 percent said she doesn't and 7 percent had no opinion.

Come on, people -- don't you realize she's from a really big state?

While education is not a sufficient requirement for the presidency it is a necessary one. The main rationale for voting for Palin so far is that "she's one us," i.e. only semi-educated, but one with whom we could talk easily. This is dangerous nonsense.

If the downfall of the GOP wasn't so funny it would be sad.
VP Pick | 11:38 a.m. Sept. 5, 2008
Obama picked a VP that would help him govern. McCain picked a VP to help him get elected. If you can't see the difference, then I guess McCain strategy is working.

And there you have it.
A great conclusion to the rise and fall of the neocon movement.
But I understand Rush O'Hannity and that group are still making a bundle from their foolhearty fans.
LOL!

Never argue logic to a conservative. They deal with life on a emotional level and Rush has their emotions up now.

I knew nothing of Palin. I read about the state trooper and the Bridge to Nowhere. This is the typical conservative thing. They believe any bone Rush or Fox News tosses to them. They won't research because the know they are right. Palin has problems.

I'm a liberal. I don't live in a dream land. I don't like Joe. Joe or Palin; their are no perfect people.

I don't Rush loved to muck Clinton's daughter for her looks. He know meanness sales to conservatives. I had a friends in a fellow LDS family. The kids became drug addicts. Things happen.

The glass is half full. Mitt is out. Hopefully, the attack of gays on California will follow the current polls and fail.

It's one victory at a time.

While we focus on Palin we forget the Americans losing jobs. Utahans will loose jobs too. If you're retired needing investment money from stocks can you afford to say the course? The divine hand is moving. Gay marriage or Palin won't pay your bills when you lose you job.

Before you tout Palin as giving the Democrats a run for their money, I suggest you FactCheck, PolitFact, etc. every word she says. I found her speech to be totally misleading and quite untruthful.
We're making progress | 12:50 p.m. Sept. 5, 2008
Palin is amazing. She's turned the most conservative Republicans into outright feminists. Our world is truly changing. Perhaps next election they'll support one of their gay politicians, then we'll know they have arrived.
wow | 1:35 p.m. Sept. 5, 2008
You've convinced me of how "tolerant" you are and why I should vote for the very very qualified Obama
(this is called sarcasm)

Palin is just another Limbaughite.
RE: Anony 1:40 | 6:18 p.m. Sept. 5, 2008
So what.
say what? | 9:56 p.m. Sept. 5, 2008
"The US government plans to put troubled mortgage finance companies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac under federal control, the New York Times and Washington Post newspapers reported on Friday". Bush, not Reid, nationalizes mortgage Industry because of war based on excessive Debt. Who is the fool? Conservatives take in account reality!

She will keep Mitt from entering the White House unless Obama is elected. That's great!
