So he's a RINO.....you're saying that like it's a bad thing. Maybe the reason people want him as gov is because he's doing a good job and not acting like a backwoods hick.
Dantley | 4:17 p.m. Sept. 12, 2008
I am a republican, and I will be voting against Huntsman this November.
Quick Insight | 4:35 p.m. Sept. 12, 2008
If Hunstman and Shurtleff have a commanding lead in the polls yet everyone on this forum is bashing them, doesn't that show that only the minority is always posting comments on this forum. If that is so, then no one should really believe what is said on these forums because it just consists the outrageous comments of a few and doesn't depict the viewpoint of the majority.
Re: Quick Insight | 4:50 p.m. Sept. 12, 2008
You are right, this one instance where everyone is bashing Huntsman reflects that every single time only those with the minority opinion post here. Never, ever come here with the idea of being enlightened or hearing what others think and feel, as it is only the minority opinion every single time.

P.S I was being sarcastic
How is this possible? | 5:14 p.m. Sept. 12, 2008
Huntsman and Shurtleff supported vouchers. How can they still be so popular?
Not so, | 5:21 p.m. Sept. 12, 2008
Huntsman is a good governor. Why discard a qualified person for a......well, how shall I put this?
News | 6:23 p.m. Sept. 12, 2008
This is news?
Madden | 7:04 p.m. Sept. 12, 2008
Huntsman I can live with, despite his despicable role in the RSL stadium funding. At least he has some good qualities too.

Shurtleff however is way too far inside the corrupt inner circle of GOP politics in Utah. I hope he isn't gunning for Guv next term.

Well, both the current Attorney General and his Democratic opponent have less support than in previous polls, and "other" (Andrew McCullough, the Libertarian) has doubled, though still way back. we will start advertising next week, and hope to gain more. The high "undecided" in this race shows some dissatisfaction with the two "main" candidates; and McCullough gains, even when the polster refuses to call him by name.
Bee | 8:09 p.m. Sept. 12, 2008
Hey, what about Schanze?
srd | 8:23 p.m. Sept. 12, 2008
Good, it's settled. We don't need to vote now.

Let's all get out and vote, it's the only "poll" that counts
RINO? | 8:25 p.m. Sept. 12, 2008
What's a RINO?
Lew Jeppson | 8:29 p.m. Sept. 12, 2008
Well it looks like Shurtleff has a lock on it, but if you want to send a message to the regime that we take the Bill of Rights seriously, you might consider voting for Andy McCullough.
Gary smith | 8:44 p.m. Sept. 12, 2008
What about our awesome computer guy dell schantz
His auto calling machine called me.
Can a mentally I'll person run for gov?
Independent Utahn | 9:28 p.m. Sept. 12, 2008
There is only one "Other" ballot-qualified candidate in the Governor's race and only one "Other" ballot-qualified candidate in the Attorney General's race, Dell Schanze and Andrew McCullough, respectively.

Reporter Bernick and/or pollster Dan Jones owes us an explanation as to why Schanze's and McCullough's names were not included in the polls.

RINO = Republican In Name Only
awesomeron | 3:49 a.m. Sept. 13, 2008
One of the cures for this would be for the Dems to DUMP OBAMA.
Dan Jones | 5:15 a.m. Sept. 13, 2008
Do you really believe polesters?
The American People want change
Utahn's will vote for the same old fosils in office
100 years behind the times

Ignorance in Utah remains high in the population

"Ignorance in Utah remains high in the population"

When people agree with you politically, they're enlightened and progressive. When they disagree, they're ignorant old fossils. Funny how that works out, isn't it?
My vote counteracts yours | 3:44 p.m. Sept. 13, 2008
To Dantley:

"I am a republican, and I will be voting against Huntsman this November."

I'm a Democrat, and I will be voting for Huntsman this November.
Angry Man. | 4:11 p.m. Sept. 13, 2008
Gov. Huntsman has not stood up to the GOP Leadership. He let Curtis and his crowd cram the voucher mess down our throats and the disastrous school district split. We need to send a clear message by voting out Huntsman and the real Governor Curtis. Vote Democratic this fall and save the nation and state.

They are facing an uphill battle because for some reason LDS people think Republicans are more
Christian. This is one of the greatest mistakes
of our lifetime. It is very dangerous to give a
party a free pass and give them your full support
without really looking at the issues honestly.

When you vote against the dems year after year you
are going against teachers, health care for all, education, using war as a last resort, public services, etc etc.

I believe Christ has values in both parties, and would pick the better man based on who he is a person. There is no way Christ supports killing so many people in other countries to protect our freedom.
Earl Hamiliton | 10:43 a.m. Sept. 14, 2008
The true Mormons will support good open government candidates of either party. It is time for my Mormon brethren to wake up and bring control back to our Country. The way Mitt Romney was treated should be a wake up call for Mormons all across the country. Vote Democratic this fall. Save the Country.
