The remakes very rarely rise to the occasion to top the original except I did like the new Parent Trap as well as the original with Haley Mills.

i love the original "the women" - i haven't seen the new version, kinda afraid to for fear they ruin it for me, and hollywood has a reputation for "updating" and thus destroying some of the earlier classic movies.
