Sen. Waddoups, There's an easier way the senate can get someone who isn't abrasive and someone who harms the image of Senate Repubicans (google "Bramble Pizza" if you don't know what happened.) That's by voters electing RaDene Hatfield to the Senate. This Republican is convinced she is far superior than Senator Bramble to represent me and I encourage anyone in Provo to closely look at the controversies Bramble has caused and compare them to the community service and character of RaDene Hatfield. I have not problems voting for a conservative Utah County Democrat of her caliber against someone like Bramble. The choice is clear for me.

Mke Waddoups would be a better Senate President than John Valentine (who is not bad, just not the best). Similarly, Kilpack would be an improvement over the self absorbed Bramble.

Republicans REALLY need to replace the arrogant and self serving Greg Curtis as Speaker in the House. Of course, his dismal performance may result in his osing the election in November which will solve that problem. As a loyal Republican, I hate to admit that a moderate Democrat would be no worse than Curtis.
Bramble's style? | 9:12 a.m. Sept. 21, 2008
Bramble's style goes beyond "direct." It is more like "nauseatingly obnoxious."

I'd love to see new leadership in the senate. Good luck Waddoups! (If you survive your re-election that is. Waddoups and Bramble could both, foreseeably, lose.)

Sen. Waddoups doesn't even consider the possibility that he won't be re-elected - he's beyond that campaign and on to the campaign to become Senate President. Well, Senator, you have a formidable Democratic challenger in Cora Jckowski. Not only is she intelliget, talented, and capable, she will also be 100% more interested in, and responsive to her constituents than you are.

Valentine or Waddoups - the mindset is the same. The elitest superority is the same. Please, voters - look at a bright newcomer who will take your concerns to the Hill. If you are in District 6, vote for Cora Jckowski. If you are in Utah County, or anywhere else with arrogant, self-serving senators or representatives, don't vote those incumbents back in!
Equally fed up in 49 | 5:54 p.m. Sept. 21, 2008
To Fed Up-
Trust me. You are not the only R "fed up" with Curtis. Seegmiller should have no problem being elected in 49. I know of many Rs here who share your sentiment, including myself.

Mr. Clark seems to be buying leadership and sadly we don't have legislators with enough courage and integrity to tell him no thanks. I didn't realize that leadership positions were for sale in Utah but if you go back to his last elections and see his campaign report it seems they are. If our elected officials are so weak to take their money Utah deserves what their money buys. The big spender gets the seat. What a sad commentary for our elected officials. Send the checks back and show true leadership.

We need to send the whole GOP Leadership of the house and senate packing when they come up for election. These guys have been bought and paid for by Special Interest monies. Greg Curtis has over $500,000 thousand dollars in his campaign fund. This money has come from the nuclear waste, alcohol & tobacco, developers, HMO's, Trial Lawyers, etc. There is no way that Curtis can represent the will of the voters in his district. These guys in the GOP Leadership have sold us down the river with vouchers, school district splits and soccer stadiums. These are the type of policies that you get when these decisions are made in back rooms and not in the light of day. Vote Democratic this fall and send a message to these Special Interest bought politicians.

If you want to see what Democrats will do to Utah, take a look at what the Democratic controlled House and Senate in California. They have created a financial train wreck.
RaDene would represent | 1:41 p.m. Sept. 22, 2008
RaDene would represent the district not her own interests. Not only is she is smarter than Bramble, she really cares about the district and Curtis Bramble only cares about himself. Bramble needs to go.
Waddoups? | 7:23 p.m. Sept. 22, 2008
Senator Valentine was exactly correct to call for a breach of decorum and I'm wondering what you would have done.

I think it is Waddoups who should go.

The current leadership has made Utah one of the best run states in the USA. Why change that?
