What? Tear down Porter's? Are you people crazy? It's an institution - renovate, don't tear it down!
Of course, tear them down | 9:30 a.m. Sept. 27, 2008
....then get Gehry to design something "kewl" for the old downtown Lehi area.
What IS it with Happy Valley? Historic churches, old buildings, all disposable. Why not at least preserve the facades?
Heck, why not tear out ALL of old Lehi and widen the road so everyone can drive down it. It's just a Hogi-Yogi and a carpet store, anyway.
Maybe you can get that old dental technician or Miller to help with the demolition, by building bombs?

As good as the food is, without the historic building Porter's Place will cease to excist. The "new" one in the new building will not last 6 months.
Lehi went from a nice little town to a bottle neck in the way of Saratoga Sprawl, and not one good thing has ever come of it.
