I will go swimming over at my neighbors cool pool during the priesthood meeting-- now that will be fun! No quilt making for me. Ya know? This is not the 18th century any longer. I happen to buy my machine made quilts if I happen to need that sort of look in our bedrooms--- BUT, I'm not a quilt person. I like duck feathers instead on my bed. Yawn!

Maybe you should take up quilting and put the remote control down!

Women should do what they want.

HA,HA--- REAL FUNNY! I don't watch TV. Perhaps you should NOT be so judgmental. For your information I'm into physical fitness--- what about you?

I never go to the priesthood session. I just wait to read the edited edition in the Ensign and have my father-in-law tell me what they said; which is usually the same thing as every other year.

I usually try and attend priesthod meeting on Saturday.I used to think just reading about it was ok but then I decided that attending gave me a little boost, meeting with the young arronic priesthood allows me to think back to the days when my dad took my brother and me to saturday priesthood meeting. Is it the same message? Probably but I like that.I like watching the prophet(s) on the huge screen.I just pain enjoy it.Its all about the message, being with your dad, holding the priesthood, the ice cream social prior to the meeting!!!!I'm 62,a high priest, and I still find conference priesthood meeting cool!!!!!

It's a shame you don't go to the Priesthood session. It's just all the other sessions, when you go you are able to feel the spirit of those who speak, enjoy the beautiful music and be a part of the emotion that is often shared by the General Authorities who speak. You will never get all of that from just asking your father-in-law or reading it. Try going once and feel the difference for yourself!

Attending saturday prieshood is not a tradition. Its a place where the gospel message is given to His Royal priesthood through His chosen servants and must be taken that way for those who truly honor that priesthood. Its not about packing the conference center in SLC as much as its about a father/son(s) in places like Guatemala who either walk miles to get to a stake center or even take 2,3,4 buses to get there and maybe a weeks wages spent on bus fare. This is not about boys night out/girls night out!!!!!It bothers me when I read articles written like this one.Shame shame shame!!!!

One of my posts suggested the social part of attending priesthood meeting on saturday. Its sacred social!!!!Being with dad who honors his priesthood and all the other brethern who do the same. I get very emotional when I think about the holy priesthood and the effect it has on the family. As men of the priesthood it is our duty to carry that message we are given BACK to our families so they can also feel the same spirit we felt in that meeting and thus bless our wives and sisters. Its not a we will do our thing and you sisters do yours. Its a sacred event for the ENTIRE family.Have you ever wondered why they dont broadcast this meeting to the general public?Dont trample on that which is sacred.

Is this blog about the men or is about the women? I would say to the women.....PARTY TIME, BIG TIME!
Mommy dearest | 3:11 p.m. Sept. 29, 2008
Kenny, you forgot MOM. Mom is the top cat in this deal, and not just the wives and sisters.
kenny | 3:34 p.m. Sept. 29, 2008
Opps...............Yes mom. Next to every faithful priesthood holder is a MOM.Thats why they had the Relief Society Conference last saturday so the moms would be prepared to shoo off their men to priesthood meeting this saturday. The women usually set the example and their men follow!!!I could write a few stories about my mom and the example she set for me and still does even though she is beyond the vail. But thats another time.
