Good Hygiene!!! | 9:18 a.m. Oct. 1, 2008
So much suffering could be avoided if people would just practice good old hygiene habits every day at home, at work and everywhere they may be. There is an increasing need to reeducate people of all ages on how to prevent illness just by washing hands several times a day, keeping kitchen utensils and cooking areas properly sanitized, proper food preparation and so on. It is easier and less expensive to prevent this kind of health problem than it is to cure it, especially when preventing is as easy as keeping simple hygiene habits.

I agree with "good hygiene" but the 4 times I have had food borne illness it was contracted from eating out. Chicken and fish are the most common culprits. How can we avoid getting a "bad" piece of meat in a restaurant?
Flu? | 12:12 p.m. Oct. 1, 2008

Have you had flu before? | 1:39 p.m. Oct. 1, 2008
To Flu - guess you've never had a flu accompanied by vomiting and diarrhea? I have. Not fun, and not quickly forgotten. I just had food poisoning from a restaurant's chicken pizza a couple days ago, and I didn't know if I had a stomach bug, flu or food poisoning since sometimes each starts with nausea.

We seem to always get sick when we eat out, and sometimes the Food delis in the "Health Food stores" are the worst. I swear we always get a good case of food poisoning at the local deli in the heath food store.

Yep, we as well get sick at the deli where we do our shopping - I wonder what is with this? I suppose deli food is old and not wise to eat. Food poisoning can make a person feel like one has the flu.

keeping the restaurants clean is the responsibility of public health departments. Their funding has not kept pace with the need, so we can expect more of this, not less!
