If he is telling the truth, then get the printer to answer to the criminal charges, I seriously doubt that is really the truth in the answer that was given. I mean if these were truly honest guy the answer would have sounded more creditable. Nothing like reading over the draft or seeing the proof before giving the o.k., with the print job. That what I love about the republican candidates!, they have a quick answer which is nothing more than a flimsy excuse. How stupid does he think we the voters really are? seeing the voters track record he maybe right.

He has worse things than this in his closet. Anybody remember the Deseret News article a couple months ago outing him for sexual harassment of a legislative intern? Where did that story go? I for one would like to know.

This is a story!? It looks like a simple mistake and an opponent grasping at straws. Is anyone's vote going to be changed because they didn't see the 'paid for' language? Ridiculous. Can we now get back to the issues for crying out loud?

Little will come of this. Everyone knows the Dems strategy is to cry ethics violations and DesNews and the rest enable them. It was a simple mistake. Not one advantage was gained by the missing attribution. Dems don't understand their Utah problem. Let me help: Abortion, Gay Rights, ACLU, No Drilling, Obama, Tax & Spend, Anti Religion, Brainwashing Student's Curriculum, Socialism, Marxism, Embracing Dishonesty and Saying Anything To Get Their Way... And I could go on and on.

The leak several months ago about Mascaro and sexual harassment of an intern was malicious and unfounded. Don't bring it up again.
Did the intern, an adult, ever come forth or validate it after it was leaked to the press by the Speaker or one of his aides as payback? No, she did not.
This charge was only a meanspirited flash in the pan. Leave it alone.

As a Democrat who was voting for Wolfe I have to say that I do believe that Mascaro's mistake is just that.
You have my vote Steve, we need to keep good Republicans like you in office.
Burley Wolfe, all we need is another whiner on Capitol Hill.

The democrat meat-eaters need to settle down on this one. It isn't criminal nor politically advantageous. Of course, it needs to be addressed and corrected to bring Mascaro's campaign in line with the line.
The ethics charges concerning Hughes, and the attempted bribery during the primary election for the state treasurer are much more serious abused of power.
We should reserve our full invective and indignation for the big ones.

Representative Mascaro has corrected the problem as of this AM. I personally wrote the campaign funding info on 250 pieces today. The others are at the printer's business. Thanks Sharon at West Jordan Alphagraphics for your excellent service and your support of our outstanding Dist. 47 rep.

I, too, am a Democrat who will be and has been supporting Steve Mascaro. He is a Republican willing to stand up to the Republican leadership. In my book, that has earned him my support.

If the printer messed up & left the info off they should fix it for free. If the campaign messed up then they need to answer for it.
The information about who paid for an ad or campaign piece is important so that voters know if what they're reading is biased & how. Republicans often argue against limits on campaign spending and contribuions. They say all we need is disclosure so people can make informed decisions. This kind of "mistiake" makes that system fall apart.
Mascaro writes laws like these. He should have to follow them like everyone else.
