Just a note of correction: it was the semi truck that caught fire, but the driver was able to escape without burns.

condolences to the truck driver who i'm sure will be traumatized for a very long time. some people are incredibly stupid drivers and we're all at risk.

We came upon the accident shortly after it happened and it was a tragic sight. The semi was on fire and Ms. Schreiner's car was badly damaged.
We were relieved that the the truck driver escaped, but saddened that Ms. Schreiner did not survive. Those who saw the accident or happened upon it, were deeply shaken. Perhaps the rain in the area contributed to the accident. Our sympathy to Ms. Schreiner's family and friends and best wishes to the truck driver.

I'm so sorry to hear about Marian's death. She was a lovely woman and great and strong mother to all of her children.

Thanks for all the kind words for Mrs. Schreiner. I too, am relieved that the truck driver was not seriously injured. Thanks for all who helped and were concerned. Nobody is sure what happened to cause this accident.
This was a tragic accident that has left Mrs. Schreiner's many loved ones, friends, and neighbors in shock and grief. We have her example of strength to help us get through this.
