Glad to see someone finally got back at developers. They should have included the city for allowing the permit to build on unstable ground they had first hand knowledge of as unstable. After winning their case they should pursue the city for liability and violation of trust by not enforcing zoning and construction laws. How many other victims are out there for these same violations authorized by cities and their building permits? I would guess thousands of homes in this valley are at risk because of city violations of trust.

I really doubt the developers or the city knew something was wrong and thought they could get away with it. They just made a mistake... an expensive one. They might do better in the future, but they can't waste time evaluating everything so intensely that its' a waste of time and money. They just win some and loose some.

Been there done that. Luckily our builder bought back our house. Although the 3.1 million would be nice...
