Although I am happy that so many people are registering to vote I do hope that these new registrations are being check out. After reading about the illegal activities of groups like ACORN registering fictitious people I only hope this isn't happening here.

Why would the legislature do anything to make registering to vote more difficult? Moving the deadline from 20 to 30 days, and eliminating registration places goes against everything we are fighting wars for around the world. Increasing democracy by involving the common person in the process. Shame on our legislature. Register and vote them all out!

Congrats to those who honor their patriotic privilege. Now do the right thing and vote Republican.
Although leaders of the Church have not said so specifically, I am sure the Republican vote will be the right vote over all.
Most in the past have seemed not to truly care who was voted in as President. But this year it is truly different. The Nation is in jeopardy if the RIGHT vote is not cast. Don't let laziness and lies keep you from voting for a significant President, after all, these are the LATTER days. Who would you want for President, a REPUBLICAN...or that other guy.
Good luck and remember it is a right and a privilege to vote. But most of all it is your duty. Especially now than ever.

I grew up in Western NY, and there, they registered you to vote in high school if you were going to be 18 on election day! Why don't they do that everywhere?

Freedom, don't you think it should take just a little effort to participate in elections, in order to keep them clean? Perhaps you think we should be able to have same day registration fill in a ballot and an absentee ballot at the same time,or maybe even with your computer. This type of registration would lead to massive ballot box stuffing.
Americans already take very little part or effort in the election process, let's not make it worse. Making registration easier will only make cheating more of a problem. Absentee ballots are becoming very common, and we have no clue about who actually filled it out, since there is no real enforcement in Utah for voter fraud.

Legislature and Judges | 1:21 p.m. Oct. 9, 2008
Vote them ALL out of office. The judges have granted huge law suits and their judgements are against the constitution. It's time to vote NO on all judges. Let's rock the judicial world. Trust me, there are only a small handful of good judges who show real concern for the people who enter their courts, the others are power hungry and judge unfairly. Voting NO on all judges will get them replaced. Voting NO should be what "we the people" should do every four years. Judges shouldn't have the bench for the rest of their lives. It's just wrong.

Vote out all current office holders this election. They deserve to be replaced... ALL OF THEM!

Now, the idea is to actually become educated about the current situations in the country. Don't just vote the same way your parents voted. Don't vote for the party of family values and fiscal conservativism just because that's what they say they are. Really look at the party and their histories. When the fiscal conservatives spend $10 billion a month that they don't have, then maybe they're not the fiscal party.

They do in Salt Lake. Clerk Swenson travels to High Schools months before election day. She even teamed up with a popular radio station to get the word out.

That was just a really bad stab at sarcasm, right? Kind of like McCain saying he wanted to be dictator? Or the, "my fellow prisoners" gaffe?

I can hardly wait to vote against the terrorist loving, liberal, radical Nobama!
