This reminds me of our former governer Olene Walker. Walker spent nearly a quarter-century in high state office including 8 in the legislature, including several years as majority whip, 11 as the governor's right hand woman, and 1 as actual governor. Yet when she ran for governor in 2004 her claim was that she had 'lots of great ideas for education' she wanted to enact. Where were those "great ideas" her first 24 years in office?
