Lets put these wasted funds from space exploration hobbies into health care, economy, energy. The space program is just and ego trip for scientist.

I for one do not want the government telling me what to do about my health care or just spend money on it. Money spent on space exploration is money spent on or in the economy. scientist are not the only ones who work in space exploration, hundreds if not thousands of people are involved in space exploration (jobs), money spent on exploration of any kind is never a waste or a so called hobbie. Has not the government dumped a ton of money in to the economy just a week or so ago an it's not better yet nor will it for the near future. If we did what the last comenter wants we would never stoped living in caves we would never explor. I say NASA should go for it. Nasa's budget is one of the smsllest.there are meny more programs that wast tax payers money and don't help the economey or health care or energy. At all.
