I am disappointed how quickly the good people of Utah have already convicted Hughes although no evidence has been produced.

Go, Greg!

As I've been following this story, there seems to be two kinds of comments: those who support Hughes and think this is a sham, and those who think that he's already guilty on all counts. Both extremes are harmful.
The state GOP leadership has characterized this as an "October Surprise" and part of the Democrats' plan to get Republicans out of office. This knee-jerk response is troubling.
The GOP leadership should have said, "Allegations of ethics violations are very serious and we are confident that the House Ethics Committee will pursue the investigation in a professional manner by following the proscribed legislative rules already in place. We want to ensure that all of Utah's legislators are serving the people of the state in an honest and open political environment."
Instead, the GOP has decided to blow this off as a political stunt rather than addressing the merits of the complaint.
The Utah GOP leadership needs a new approach and a new PR rep.

and learn about Lisa Johnson. She is NOT the person you want representing you. Her positions are extreme and she is an employee of the teacher's unions (in effect - research her job).
There is no way she is going to be able to be anything more than a lobbyist turned legislator were she to win, because that's what she is. We don't need more lobbyists as legislators.
Especially ones that are as closed minded as Lisa is - she is EXTREME in her positions and unmoveable even when she doesn't have all the background knowledge she needs. This doesn't make for a good legislator, because legislators need to be willing to learn all sides of an issue and THEN make a decision.
Lisa has only one side - her side - and close mindedness is an epidemic in Utah. Please don't add to the spreading of this disease!!! Vote for Greg - he listens, he has courage to act when he has made a decision.

Et tu Brute?
Think about it, those who bully oh so often do not truly know those they call friend. Look around Mr. Huges the people you trust the most are most likely to toss you to the wolves. You do know that you are the designated sacrificial lamb, don't you?
On second thought your friend Curtis is a known good guy, he won't hang you out to dry...
