Sad, but not news | 9:28 a.m. Oct. 13, 2008
Interestingly, the plight of Christians all over the world is being ignored in our curious attempts to embrace "diversity". Islam is growing world-wide, partly because it has not abandoned its belief in its core teachings. Christianity has become ashamed of itself.
Please--don't start posting on the awful things Christians have done throughout history. Many religious groups throughout history have been quilty of attempting conversion by the sword, as this story shows. And that's wrong--wherever it happens.
BUT, Christians in Europe, in Africa, in Asia, in the Middle East--and even here in America--are under attack. It's time someone recognized that small fact!

We need to embrace diversity as a country; there is no advantage to shoving our religion down others throats as some of the Hindus in this story are attempting to do. Diversity is about maturity, not embarrassment.

You said, “Christians in Europe, in Africa, in Asia, in the Middle East--and even here in America--are under attack. It's time someone recognized that small fact!”

Oh, please! You’ve got to be kidding me. You belittle what many Christians in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East are enduring by this comment. Christians in America are not under attack! Where has anyone been forced to flee from their home? What church has been burned to the ground? Have any Christians in American been lynched this last week for practicing their faith?

It is all a class war | 8:11 p.m. Oct. 13, 2008
It is the Brahman class that wants to turn India into a "Hindu" nation. By bowing to HIndu deaties, you are, in essence, bowing to them.
The Brahman class wants India to be a Hindu nation to bring back the caste system, in which they are on "top".
Unforntuneately, the Untouchables get to be on the bottom, kept in line by their law of Karma, meaning that you are where you are socially because of your actions in your past life, so if you want to improve your station, be an humble untouchable and realize your "betters" the Brahmans, are more spiritually evolved.
We fought the American Revolution to get away from ideas like this.
It is not really about religion, it is about an elite religious upper class.
Looks like Gandhi and Mother Teresa didn't really accomplish much over there.
There are many branches of the Hindu religion, and they are not All believers in the caste system, by the way.
