Are these structures insured?

Who benefits from these "suspicious" fires?

Lionel, you can bet that they are insured. This always happens whenever home prices are depressed. If you can't sell it, burn it.

...for last Friday, said that the developer-owner of three of the properties due to be torn down, was going to file an $150,000 insurance claim.

Since then, one more of his homes has burnt.

Stewart: these are not homes waiting to be sold to occupants; they've already been sold to developers and are awaiting demolition. One more home that burnt, is owned by a member of the Ogden City planning commission.
